Ready to glue stave has 2 pieces. A piece of clear sapwood hickory (best Hickory for bow making) AND a planed bamboo heat tempered backing strip.
Both are approximately 1 1/2" wide and 76 inches long.
Hickory and Maple are forgiving woods for beginners
Ready to glue Hickory and Bamboo kit.(Bamboo is planed and ready to glue) The parts will be flat and ready for gluing. All that needs to be done is grooving the bamboo and Hickory with a Fairbow toothing scraper or toothing plane (or hacksaw blade) and clean with acetone.
Then glue it up.
Good for a nice-looking American-style flatbow or a proper English Longbow.
Please specify American style or English style when ordering.
When we are not satisfied with the Hickory in stock for this kit, We will replace it with Premium Maple.
